Hi! I am Dina Wolf. I first stepped on a yoga mat in 1998 at a San Francisco yoga studio hoping to alleviate corporate America work stress. I felt a shift as I struggled to do a sun salutation in a Hatha practice and didn’t give up. While grinding 70+ work hour weeks, I was drawn to the spirituality and centering of Yoga.
I met my life partner Clinton a year later, got married and struggled to conceive. I was led down a path of healing when I decided to leave my job. Over the next 6 months, I found my breath and true essence as I practiced yoga, ate healthier, slept better, spent quality time with loved ones and felt the stress melt away.
Yoga was a gift that brought me closer to my spirituality. I was blessed soon after with the gift of motherhood in 2003 – Gabrielle & Bryce are my daily inspiration and teachers. I embraced motherhood full-time and found peace in my yoga practice while my twins napped.
In 2005, my husband’s corporate job brought our family to Chicago where we the had the opportunity to raise our twins closer to family. When my twins started kindergarten, I decided to pursue my passion without the intention to teach and became certified in Yogaview’s teacher training in 2008. I am grateful to my teachers Quinn Kearney, Tom Quinn, Claire Mark & Geri Bleier.
A teaching opportunity was presented in the Catholic community at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago in 2010. I was open to the opportunity and co-founded Prayer Yoga. I taught at local churches and retreat centers including Old St. Pat’s, Shrine of Pompeii, St. Clement, Cenacle Retreat Center and St Vincent de Paul. I am deeply grateful to the Prayer Yoga community, my family, my mentor and friend Mary DuQuaine, who inspired me to launch GracedWithYoga, a faith inspired yoga practice, Fall 2016.
I value offering time in community service and serve on the Faith in the Next Generation Committee at St. Clement, Vice-Chair Emerald City Children’s Theatre Community Board, and I am involved with my twins’ schools Skinner West Art Board and Whitney Young.
In my free time, I love being a student and practicing yoga, spending time with family and friends, alternative health treatments, dining out, wine tasting, and the arts.
I am passionate about holistic health, a strong advocate of integrative medicine and own a health and wellness business. Please email me at Dina_L_Wolf@yahoo.com if you would like to learn more.
